Friends of UKirk,
We are glad to share that the fall semester is off to a good start at UKirk MTSU! Over the past few weeks, we’ve welcomed both new and returning students.
We began the year with a craft night, creating a low-pressure space for students to connect. Together we painted rocks, made friendship bracelets, and tie-dyed shirts (which we hope to have UKirk logos printed on soon!).
Our first devo of the semester drew from UKirk National’s UWorship resource, offering a creative rewrite of Psalm 23. It closed with these words:
“We are not alone, we have everything we need to start this new semester. We are beloved, made in your image. Children of God. We are at home in the house of God forever. Amen.”
This past week, we connected with students at MTSU’s annual student organizations fair and then hosted a front-lawn cookout at the UKirk house. It’s been wonderful to see new friendships forming and energy building for the months ahead.
We’re excited for all that is to come this semester, including welcoming alumni and friends back to campus later this month for MTSU’s Homecoming!
As always, we are grateful for your support that makes this ministry possible. If you’d like to support UKirk here are a couple ways you can do that:
Give online at ukirkmtsu.com/support
Sign up to provide a Thursday night meal for students: Meal Sign-Up
Thank you for praying for, encouraging, and supporting the students of UKirk. We couldn’t do this without you!
