UKIRK MTSU is a campus ministry supported by Middle Tennessee Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. and Murfreesboro Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. UKirk has a house on the edge of campus where students gather throughout the school week for meals, bible study, prayer, and fellowship. UKirk also offers students opportunities to connect with local churches, develop leadership skills, serve others, and go on retreats and other outings for fellowship and spiritual growth.
Community has always been a central part of who we are as a ministry. UKirk always strives to be a place where all are welcome and where students can have a group of people on campus that care about each one of them.
Compassion for others is an important part of who we are as a campus ministry. Over the years we have partnered with several local nonprofits to give students weekly opportunities to give back to the community at large. Those partnerships include; The Nashville Burrito Ministry, Still Waters Single Parent Ministry, and Journey Home Murfreesboro.
UKirk MTSU (Formerly PSF @ MTSU) is affiliated with the national network of UKirk ministries -- so what is "UKirk"? UKirk is a movement of students of all different backgrounds growing out of outreach funding from the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The "U" as you would guess stands for University while "Kirk" is the ole Scottish word for Church. UKirk MTSU is also a registered MORE LIGHT Presbyterians Organization, meaning all are welcome here.
