UKirk MTSU (Presbyterian Student Fellowship at MTSU Inc) is a campus ministry supported by Middle Tennessee Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. and Murfreesboro Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  UKirk has a house on the edge of campus where students gather throughout the school week for meals, bible study, prayer, and fellowship. UKirk also offers students opportunities to connect with local churches, to develop leadership skills, serve others, and to go on retreats and other outings for fellowship and spiritual growth.

What has always been central to the ministry is our sense of community. UKirk always strives to be a place where all are welcome and where students can have a group of people on campus that cares about each one of them.

Compassion for others has become part of the heartbeat that drives us forward to be the entry from campus to serve the Murfreesboro community and beyond. Currently we do this through the Nashville Burrito Ministry on Monday Nights (Program). Another way we serve is through workdays with local non-profits, such as Still Waters Single Parent Ministry and Journey Home, and mission trips both foreign and local.

In addition to our main ministry house we also have another house on the same piece of property. Both houses, on top of being tools for ministry, are available for students to rent rooms. It is encouraged that our renters attend UKirk and be active students at MTSU (or other local schools). Students that live at UKirk are asked to do weekly chores that assist with keeping the facilities in tidy order so we can host students and other visitors. Inquires about living at UKirk, such as availability and cost, can be directed to the campus minister.

UKirk MTSU (Formerly PSF @ MTSU) is affiliated with the national network of UKirk ministries-- so what is "UKirk"? UKirk is a movement of students of all different backgrounds growing out of outreach funding from the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and in our case the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The "U" as you would guess stands for University while Kirk is the ole Scottish word for Church. So in a real sense, UKirk is the "church" throwing itself forward in serving the universities around the world including MTSU.
